Once again, for Nightshoot X, Phil Dawe put together an outstanding collection of aircraft for the discerning nightshoot photographer! This events’ theme was Search and Rescue, with a 2 day seminar on that topic encouraging attendance of a variety of types and operators.
A long term objective for Phil was to get a Turbo Tracker from the Securite Civile at Marignane, Marseille – numerous previous attempts having failed due to airframe availibilty, weather etc – these aircraft have no autopilot and must be hand flown in VFR conditions all the way! For this event, Phil’s perserverance paid off – a handsome aircraft was there to be photographed, along with some nice additions, including an Army Bell 212, Armee de L’Air Fennec, Irish Air Corps EC135, RAF Sea King and a French Alpha Jet, as well as the 32 Sqdn hangars being open, where one of the BAe125’s was adorned with a special 95th Anniversary badge.
Here’s to number XI!!
